Correy Jefferson bought two semi-automatic handguns, one of which he later gave to his brother, who is a convicted felon, allegedly for safekeeping while Jefferson was out of town. For this transfer, Jefferson was convicted by a jury of knowingly delivering a firearm to a felon in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(d) and sentenced to 21 months in prison.
