The appellant was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, but he was found guilty in a jury trial of the lesser-included offenses of first-degree assault for which he was sentenced to concurrent terms of thirty days in jail and fined $1,000. On appeal, he argues that the trial court erred in giving self-defense instructions for the jury to consider with regard to aggravated assault but not to any of the lesser-included offenses.
