¶ 1. William Hester was convicted of murder after a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Jackson County. On appeal he alleges these errors: (1) in different ways the grant of a manslaughter instruction violated his due process rights; (2) evidence of previous threats of violence by the victim should have been admitted to prove his violent character; (3) a mistrial should have been granted for a discovery
