On November 7, 2000, a Mobile Circuit Court jury returned a verdict against Jewel Savoy and for Marion Watson in the amount of $637.60 for damages that Watson allegedly suffered as the result of an automobile collision. After the trial court entered a judgment on the jury verdict, Watson filed a Rule 59, Ala. R. Civ. P., motion for a new trial and the trial court granted that motion.
