Steven Wayne Kurkowski learned from a local cocaine dealer about an opportunity to buy large quantities of cocaine from a source in California. Kurkowski called the number provided by the local dealer and, after Kurkowski's initial request for one kilogram was rejected, arranged to buy half of a kilogram of cocaine from the California source. The California source is the local dealer's brother and also a convicted drug dealer who was cooperating...
