Thomas William Brown (Brown) was indicted in the City of Richmond for robbery and the attempted carjacking of Josherryl Amos, and for robbery of Patricia Wolliver. The Commonwealth pursued all three indictments in one trial. A jury convicted Brown of carjacking, in violation of Code § 18.2-58.1, and two counts of robbery, in violation of Code § 18.2-58. The trial court, on Brown's motion, reduced the carjacking conviction to attempted carjacking...
