After a jury trial, defendant was convicted of two counts of murder in the second degree (depraved indifference and felony murder) and numerous related crimes for his participation in the May 12, 1997 break-in of the home of Richard Vale in the City of Schenectady, Schenectady County, during which Sheryl Toyloy, who resided with Vale, was killed.
