Defendant was charged with attempted murder in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree following a domestic abuse incident. He pleaded guilty to assault in the first degree in full satisfaction of all charges and waived his right to appeal. Thereafter, he was sentenced to a determinate prison term of 8½ years...
