Billy R. Downs and his wife Arlene sued Betty A. Goodwin as the result of an automobile accident that occurred in July 1996. Following a jury trial, the jury returned a verdict for Billy Downs,1 but awarded him $0 in damages. Downs filed a motion for an additur, or in the alternative, for a new trial, which the trial court denied. Downs appeals.
