Pursuant to a negotiated plea agreement, the appellant, Moises Diaz Nieto, pleaded guilty to trafficking in marijuana, a violation of § 13A-12-231, Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced the appellant to 11 years' imprisonment; that sentence was split and he was ordered to serve 3 years' imprisonment.
