Brandy Lynn Pope was injured on November 29, 1997, when an automobile in which she was a passenger collided with another automobile. Nathan Flippo was driving the automobile in which Pope was riding. Eric Exum was driving another vehicle in the area at the time of the collision; Pope alleges that Exum caused the accident. At the time of the accident, Pope was a minor.
