The Appellant Earnest Bell, Jr., a former inmate at the State Prison for Southern Michigan in Jackson ("Jackson"), appeals the district court's grant of judgment as a matter of law to Defendants-Appellees, Alan Blatter and Mark Stimpson, following the presentation of plaintiff's case-in-chief in a jury trial.
