Defendant Craig Maddigan appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Western District of New York (Arcara, J.) affirming the bankruptcy court's finding that Maddigan's obligation for legal fees imposed by a family court during a custody proceeding was nondischargeable in bankruptcy.
