On July 19, 2001, the defendant, Keith Foster, was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine in violation of La. R.S. 40:967. The defendant pled not guilty at his arraignment on July 24, 2001. After a jury trial on August 7, 2001, the defendant was found guilty as charged.
