Eckley Marshall was charged by bill of information on July 11, 2000, with first degree robbery in violation of La. R.S. 14:64.1. He was arraigned that same day and pleaded not guilty. After a hearing on July 27th the trial court found probable cause to bind the defendant over for trial and denied the motions to suppress the evidence and the statement. On August 22nd, the day set for trial, the defendant withdrew his earlier plea and entered a plea of guilty...
