In April 1999, defendant was arraigned on an indictment charging him with driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree. Several months later he was arraigned on a separate indictment charging him with two counts of criminal contempt in the first degree based upon his violation of an order of protection. In October 1999, defendant entered a plea of guilty of criminal contempt in the first degree...
