Following a bench trial, defendant was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and promoting prison contraband in the first degree, both felonies, as well as the misdemeanor of obstructing governmental administration in the second degree. The convictions arose out of defendant's actions on May 2, 1999 while confined at Adirondack Correctional Facility in Essex County.
