This case presents an issue of first impression before this court. The plaintiff, Joan E. Gay, now known as Joan E. McNulty, appeals from the order of the trial court modifying the alimony award to be paid by the defendant, Thomas J. Gay. The sole issue is whether the trial court improperly considered capital gains realized by the plaintiff to be income when modifying the defendant's alimony obligation. We reverse the judgment...
