At issue is a contract concerning the sale of a 1987 Thompson 29-foot Daytona speed boat from defendant Henry Crump, Jr. ("Crump") to plaintiffs Timothy and Yvonne Sanchez ("Sanchezes"). At the time the events occurred which gave rise to the suit, Crump was the Acting Assistant Chief of Police of the City of Inkster ("Inkster").
