Bonnie Sue Marbut has a history of mental illness which began in 1993 when she discovered the brutally slain bodies of her niece and stepdaughter. In 1998, she pled guilty to a state-jail felony, theft by check, and was placed on three years' deferred-adjudication community supervision. Tex.Code Crim. Proc.
