Appellant was charged by indictment with the offense of engaging in organized criminal activity. Appellant waived trial by jury and entered a plea of not guilty. The trial judge found appellant guilty of the charged offense and assessed punishment at ten years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice—Institutional Division.
