The defendant, Jon A. Parley, appeals from the judgment of the trial court dissolving the parties' marriage. On appeal, the defendant claims that the court improperly (1) ordered him to obtain life insurance to secure the court's alimony order and (2) distributed the marital home in that the court (a) excluded evidence of a written contract, (b) awarded to the plaintiff a credit in the amount of $60,000 and (c) failed
