Appellant The Money Place, LLC, appeals the Craighead County Circuit Court's certification of a class of plaintiffs, including Appellee Class Representative Dorothy Barnes, in this class-action lawsuit. In the fall of 2000, Barnes began using the services of The Money Place by presenting them a check in the amount of $344.44, for which she received $300 in cash in return. The interest or fee of $44.44 allowed her to keep the $300 for two weeks...
