INTRODUCTION

Clifford J. Davlin was convicted of first degree sexual assault on a child, use of a weapon to commit the crime, and of being a habitual criminal. He was sentenced to a total of 25 to 35 years' imprisonment on all convictions. His convictions and sentences were affirmed on direct appeal by a memorandum opinion. See State v.
