Appellant Bryan Scott Horton and another sixteen-year-old boy, Jeremy Keith Coffey, murdered a sixteen-year-old girl in her home, apparently because they wanted to take her father's pistol. Appellant and Coffey were taken into custody three days after the murder and, within hours, appellant confessed.
