Gary Shockley ("plaintiff") appeals the denial of his claim to compensation for an occupational disease by the North Carolina Industrial Commission ("Commission"). Defendants, Cairn Studios Ltd. ("defendant-employer") and Maryland Insurance Group/Zurich Insurance Company ("defendant-carrier"), cross-assign as error the denial of a credit for benefits paid to plaintiff.
