The dispositive issue in this case, which comes to us upon acceptance of two certified questions from the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit,1 is whether certain language in an umbrella insurance policy issued by the defendants is ambiguous, with the result that the policy must be construed so as to provide the plaintiffs with coverage.
