A jury found appellant Brian Keith Pippitt guilty of first-degree murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.185(1) (2000), and first-degree murder while committing burglary in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.185(3) (1996), for his role in the death of Evelyn Malin.
