Linn-Mar High School has adopted what is commonly known as a "zero tolerance" policy concerning students' use or possession of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs. This case involves a ninth grader who was caught with cigarettes while on a school band trip to San Antonio, Texas. He was returned home, alone, via Greyhound bus.
