Appellant disputes the trial court's refusal to suppress evidence obtained after an officer made a preliminary inquiry about the location of appellant's gun without first administering a Miranda warning. The trial court concluded that the police officer's limited questioning of appellant was appropriate because the police believed the gun was in the area and posed a threat to the police and the public.
