Rule 23(f) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure authorizes us to accept appeals from orders granting or denying motions for class certification in Rule 23 class actions. The EEOC has brought a Title VII suit against Bemis Company on behalf of five named, and a "class" of other, black employees of the company. See 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981a(a)(1), 2000e-5(f), (g)(1).
