The University of the Virgin Islands appeals the jury verdict in favor of Josephine Petersen-Springer. A review of the record, the pleadings, and all other relevant documents reveals that the trial judge erred in not finding, as a matter of law, an express contract between the parties, and in submitting equitable claims to the jury without making independent findings of fact.
