Following indictment for first-degree murder in the 1982 death of her 18 month old son, Mary Hartmon brought a pretrial motion to suppress five statements made to police over the course of nearly 20 years, to sanction the Dakota County Attorney, to limit reference to a missing or destroyed 911 tape, and to dismiss the grand-jury indictment.
