The defendant was convicted by a District Court jury of assault and battery, G. L. c. 265, § 13A, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, G. L. c. 265, § 15A (two counts), and violation of a protective order, G. L. c. 209A, § 7. On appeal, the defendant claims that (1) hearsay evidence was improperly admitted, and (2) evidence of his prior bad acts likewise was improperly admitted...
