Celeste Marie Beard is confined while awaiting trial on an indictment accusing her of capital murder, murder, and injury to an elderly person. Following her arrest, the district court granted the State's motion that no bail be set. Beard then petitioned for a writ of habeas corpus urging that she is entitled to reasonable bail and asking that bail be set at $50,000. The writ issued and, after a hearing, the court set bail at $8,000,000. Beard appeals...
