Defendant Jamie Towers owns a four-building housing complex in the Bronx, for which defendant Lance was the security contractor. On June 9, 1994, the 15-year-old infant plaintiff Jahi James (James) and two of his companions, all residents of the housing complex, were approached on the grounds of the complex by a gang of teenagers. Believing they were about to be robbed, James and his companions, pursued by the gang, ran to one of the buildings in the complex, 2050 Seward...
