PIERRON, J.:

Jason L. Tisdale appeals his conviction for one count of aggravated battery, a severity level 7 person felony, in violation of K.S.A. 21-3414(a)(1)(B). Tisdale argues his sentence violates State v. Gould, 271 Kan. 394, 23 P.3d 801 (2001), and that his conviction is not supported by sufficient evidence. We affirm.
