Robert James Bagshaw was charged with robbery, second degree kidnapping, and burglary for an armed invasion of a home. At his trial, the district court admitted a videotaped deposition of Bagshaw's former girlfriend, taken by the State for use in lieu of her live testimony, because she was pregnant and unable to travel at the time of the trial.
