OPINION OF THE COURT

ROGER S. HAYES, J.

Defendant was indicted for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree. Defendant moved to suppress cocaine recovered from his shopping bag as well as his statements to the police. The court conducted a Mapp/Huntley hearing. Based on the findings of fact and conclusions of law stated below, defendant's motions to suppress are denied.
