Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products, N.V., ("L&H") filed for relief under the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on November 29, 2000. One day later, it filed a second plenary insolvency proceeding under the laws of Belgium, its place of incorporation.
