We consider here the convictions of Gary Friedman, an attorney who engaged in a wide variety of criminal conduct in the early and mid 1990s, including drug dealing, robbery, and extortion; Kenneth Friedman, Gary's brother, who assisted Gary in carrying out many of his crimes; and Carlos Rodriguez, a former client of Gary Friedman, who was convicted of participating in two of Gary's extortion schemes.
