This appeal considers whether the trial court correctly interpreted Business and Professions Code section 25658, subdivision (c), (hereafter section 25658(c); all statutory references are to the Business and Professions Code unless otherwise indicated), to be a strict liability statute, precluding introduction of any evidence of defendant's lack of knowledge of the age of the person for whom he purchased the alcohol.
