The plaintiffs are the parents of David Clark, a mentally disabled man who died as a result of a fight with another resident of G.B. Cooley Hospital for Retarded Citizens. They sued individually and on behalf of David for wrongful death and survival damages. The trial court granted judgment in favor of the plaintiffs for wrongful death, but did not award medical and funeral expenses. The trial court also did not make an award for the survival action.
