SHAW, Judge.

In case no. CC-00-078, Marlin Powell was charged in a two-count indictment with attempted murder, a violation of §§ 13A-6-2 and 13A-4-2, Ala.Code 1975, and with assault in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-6-20(a)(1), Ala.Code 1975. In case no. CC-00-079, he was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied automobile, a violation of § 13A-11-61(a), Ala.Code 1975. A jury found Powell guilty of all three charges.
