In order to widen and improve County Road 46-A, Seminole County instituted an action in eminent domain involving various landowners, including Upsala Presbyterian Church. Negotiations between Seminole County and Upsala led to a stipulated final judgment wherein Seminole County obtained title to a strip of Upsala's property along the roadway in exchange for $160,000.
