The plaintiff brought an action against his homeowner's insurer to recover losses from an alleged burglary. The trial court awarded the plaintiff damages in the amount of $15,226.94 for his loss in the burglary, together with $1,500 as penalties, and $4,503.42 in attorney's fees.
