The appellant, John Steven Marlowe, alias Steven Peavy, was convicted of robbery in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-8-41, Ala.Code 1975. Marlowe was sentenced to life imprisonment in the penitentiary and was ordered to pay $50 to the Crime Victim's Compensation Fund and $5,287 in court costs.
