Michael and Jennifer Caccavella filed a medical malpractice action against two physicians, Dr. Frederick W. Silverman and Dr. Robert Topper. Dr. Silverman performed surgery on Mr. Caccavella; subsequently and separately, Dr. Topper treated Mr. Caccavella post-operatively. The Caccavellas settled with Dr. Silverman and signed a release.
