WILLIAMS, J.

The defendant, David Dallas, was charged by bill of information with aggravated second degree battery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34.7. After a jury trial, the defendant was convicted of the lesser offense of second degree battery, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:34.1. He was sentenced to serve four and one-half years at hard labor. The defendant now appeals. He contends the evidence presented was insufficient to support a jury verdict and the sentence imposed...
