This is a direct appeal under article V, section 5(D)1 of the Louisiana Constitution. The defendant, Michael Carmouche, was indicted by a grand jury for the first degree murders of Priscilla, Rhonada, and Keisha Guillory. Following a trial, a petit jury found the defendant guilty and recommended a sentence of death. The trial court sentenced the defendant to death in accordance with that recommendation.
